Lattix masts are produced with special alloy aluminium components. The lengths of metal are formed into trussed sides that are then pressed together to make a three- or four-sided mast. The result is a trussed mast that is extremely strong in relation to its weight.
Lattix masts are soft and forgiving, unlike steel masts with slip bases that must be broken off to function according to plan.
The effect is comparable to what happens if a barefoot person kicks a milk carton rather than a brick, where the Lattix mast is the milk carton and the steel mast is the brick.
There’s no doubt as to which would hurt worse and do the most injury.
