Genuine pliant masts
In Norway, and as time passes a growing number of countries, road authorities ARE ISSUING DIRECTIVES requiring the use of forgiving masts and restricting the uses of slip bases.
Genuine third generation forgiving masts, which are approved in conformity with NS-EN 12767, have no need for slip bases.
Why not?
When a vehicle crashes into a Lattix-mast, one of the corner elements is pressed inward and the mast bends. In addition the mast loosens all the way down from the footplate. The mast tips over the car and lands behind it.
A Lattix mast can be struck at any height, angle or speed. It doesn’t matter what kind of body the car has.
A Lattix mast always works!
No reported fatalities
There are now upwards of 30,000 Lattix masts at roadsides. Cars have crashed into numerous masts but so far not a single fatality has been reported in these collisions!
